Senior Trade Services Processor

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Trade Services Processor.
In this role, you will:
Provide support for processing new collections, payments, trade acceptances and tracing outstanding items
Support performance of less experienced staff and overall effectiveness of team
Provide all letter of credit services to customers
Perform complex services including opening letter of credits, processing payments and informing customers of discrepancies
Assist with distributing, reviewing work, training and guiding less experienced staff
Provide subject matter expertise and interpretation of procedures to less experienced individuals
Process complex, non-standard and time sensitive letter of credits
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal customers
Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgement while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Trade Services support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to identify situations that require escalation or additional due diligence and takes appropriate action accordingly.
Has experience with exposure to BSA/AML, Sanctions, and Anti-Boycott policies and procedures, with the ability to consistently understand and adhere to related compliance requirements.
Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills to provide clear, concise, and accurate risk escalations to relevant stakeholders.
Job Expectations:
Services and supports a wide range of Trade Service products and operations.
Processes and manages Letters of Credit, including issuance and related documentation.
Reviews and processes trade documents, collections, and payment transactions.
Supports trade lending activities, forfaiting, export credit, and trade finance solutions.
Handles factoring transactions and ensures compliance with trade service procedures.
Ensures accurate and timely execution of trade operations while adhering to regulatory and internal policy requirements.
Collaborates with internal teams and external customers to support end-to-end trade finance processes.
Identifies and resolves operational issues while maintaining high standards of risk management and client service.
•Demonstrates the inter-personal skills to identify and appropriately act upon scenarios requiring escalation or further due diligence
•1+ year in a role with exposure to BSA/AML, Sanctions and Anti-boycott policies and procedures, and demonstrates an ability to understand and consistently adhere to procedures related to these subjects
•Possess the written and verbal communication skills to provide clear and concise risk escalations
