Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Kolkata. The Salesperson will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential fleet owners and shippers, presenting BlackBuck’s services, and converting leads into active customers. Daily activities include visiting clients, conducting product demonstrations, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, and gathering feedback to help improve products and services. The Salesperson will collaborate closely with operations, customer support, and product teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing engagement of clients, while consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Qualifications
Demonstrated sales and business development skills, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals.
Strong customer relationship management abilities, with experience in client servicing and account management.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the capacity to present complex solutions in a clear and compelling way.
Basic understanding of logistics, transportation, or related industries, with the ability to learn BlackBuck’s products and services quickly.
Comfort working on-site and traveling locally to meet customers in and around Kolkata.
Proficiency in using mobile apps and digital tools for sales tracking, reporting, and customer engagement.
Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and achieve targets in a fast-paced environment.
Prior field sales experience, preferably in B2B or SME segments; experience with trucking or logistics solutions is an advantage.
Minimum high school education; a bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
Fluency in English and local languages spoken in Kolkata, with strong interpersonal skills and a professional, inclusive approach.
