Minimum Qualifications:
3–4+ years of relevant experience across Credit and/or Fraud Risk, program management, product delivery, or transformation/change initiatives.
Demonstrated experience driving complex, cross-functional programs within a matrixed organization, coordinating across Product, Technology, Risk Strategy, Operations, and other key stakeholders.
Strong program and portfolio management capabilities, including roadmap management, capacity planning, dependency management, risk/issue management, governance, and delivery tracking.
Ability to translate program data into actionable insights, identifying trends, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations that enable timely leadership decisions.
Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to drive alignment without direct authority across multiple teams, programs, and senior stakeholders.
Structured problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity, establish clarity and operating discipline, and balance strategic thinking with attention to execution details.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex information into concise executive-level updates.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with experience developing executive presentations, portfolio views, dashboards, and analytical reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting enterprise transformation or modernization programs spanning multiple products, platforms, or execution models.
Understanding of Agile/SAFe delivery practices, including Program Increment planning, feature readiness, roadmap management, and continuous delivery.
Experience with capacity and demand planning, particularly across shared technology teams or platforms with different skill sets and delivery models.
Experience establishing or enhancing PMO governance, executive reporting, portfolio health metrics, and cross-program dependency management.
Working knowledge of project/product management and reporting tools such as Rally, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent platforms.
Experience leveraging automation, analytics, or GenAI to improve PMO reporting, governance, insights, or operational efficiency.
PMP (PMI), SAFe, or equivalent program/project management certification preferred.
Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Program Management Office (PMO) in planning and coordinating activities across all phases of the software delivery lifecycle, enabling the delivery of capabilities that drive risk mitigation for existing customers across underwriting, communications, and collections as part of the WTTC program.
Drive end-to-end progress across Credit, Fraud, Foundational, and Non-Risk journeys, ensuring alignment to timelines, priorities, and program objectives.
Collaborate with Strategy, Product, and Solution Management to facilitate capability and feature definition, ensuring clear documentation and effective tracking of progress across the delivery lifecycle.
Build and manage stakeholder relationships across lines of business to drive alignment and visibility of enterprise program dependencies.
Track and maintain an integrated view of the roadmap, including cross-team progress, key dependencies, and highlighting risks or gaps to ensure overall program health.
Support forecasting and tracking of feature delivery across Program Increments (PIs), while identifying process gaps and driving improvements to enhance delivery efficiency.
Support evolving ways of working, including agility sessions and enterprise initiatives, while enabling adoption of new tools and supporting change management efforts across the program.
