Position description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our RMHS - Mechanical department at Jindal Stainless Limited, a leading company in the Mining & Metals industry. The role involves overseeing mechanical engineering projects, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven project management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support the company’s operational excellence and strategic objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and equipment within the RMHS department to support mining and metals operations.
Manage and supervise mechanical maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime of plant machinery.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for mechanical failures to enhance system reliability and safety.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and safety to align mechanical engineering solutions with operational goals.
Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project proposals to support decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and equipment to improve mechanical processes and reduce operational costs.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in all mechanical engineering activities.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians to build a competent and motivated mechanical engineering team.
Collaborate with vendors and contractors for procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
