IT Engineer

This is a newly created position to help meet the IT needs of Fortinet’s rapidly growing workforce. With over 15,000 people worldwide (and growing) and the implementation of new IT systems, we are looking for a Jr. IT Engineer to help us ensure 24x7 support. In this critical role you will be based in our Sunnyvale Headquarters and support our global distribution of network and server systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a network security company and utilize the latest systems and equipment to support our network availability.
Responsibilities:
Deliver network/security/system implementation and remediation projects to meet demands
Identify, diagnose, and resolve network/security/system problem, analyze root cause
Install, maintains and upgrade network/security/system hardware, software, and operating systems
Coordinates and communicates with users
Responds to and resolves support requests
Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours
Other duties as assigned
Skills and requirements:
Good understanding of network/security/system hardware and infrastructure
1-3 yrs experience in troubleshooting network/security/system problems
Hands-on experience supporting network/security/system
Strong multi-tasking abilities
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
Excellent English oral and written communications skills
Education:
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent education and experience

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $73,700 - $95,400 Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
