About the Role:
The Software Asset Management product empowers organizations to manage software licensing and compliance with precision. Our engineers build performance-efficient algorithms that help customers achieve the most accurate licensing position possible. You’ll be responsible for the full software development lifecycle—from design and implementation to testing and delivery—while partnering closely with product managers, architects, and quality engineers. Together, we improve product quality, efficiency, and performance. The SAM team is deeply aligned with company priorities and market expectations, delivering solutions that matter.
What You Get to Do in This Role
Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit Testing, etc.)
Own your code from design through implementation, test automation, and delivery
Collaborate with product managers to define feature sets that solve real customer problems
Work with architects to shape product design and with QE to enhance quality and performance
Contribute to new product features and enhance existing offerings
Mentor peers and promote knowledge-sharing across the team
To be successful in this role, you have:
Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
Hands-on experience with columnar/analytical data stores (e.g., ClickHouse, Apache Druid, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Vertica), including schema design, partitioning, and query optimization for large-scale analytical workloads.
Experience building and operating distributed data pipelines for high-volume ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, or dbt).
Experience creating dashboards and analytic reports with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
This role requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
6+ years of experience with object-oriented programming language
Exposure to Java or C++
Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, with a focus on reusability and componentization
Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
Experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
Strong analytical and design skills
Ability to manage projects with material technical risk at a team level
Nice to Have:
Experience with ServiceNow platform
Background in AI or interest in integrating AI into software workflows
For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $143,200 - $243,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
