Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for SAP Operators at Hindustan Unilever (HUL), located in Kolkata. SAP Operators will be responsible for managing day-to-day SAP transactions, including data entry, validation, and updating records across relevant business modules. The role involves monitoring system processes, generating and reviewing operational and compliance reports, and supporting line managers with accurate SAP data for planning and decision-making. SAP Operators will collaborate with IT and functional teams to resolve user issues, escalate system errors, and support routine audits. The position requires adherence to HUL’s data governance standards and consistent documentation of activities to ensure process reliability and continuity.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Information Technology, with familiarity in ERP systems and SAP environments.
Proficiency in Troubleshooting to identify, diagnose, and resolve SAP-related and system issues in a timely manner.
Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret data, validate entries, and support process optimization and reporting accuracy.
Experience in Technical Support for end users, including responding to tickets, guiding users, and coordinating with IT teams.
Understanding of IT Operations, including system monitoring, basic maintenance routines, and adherence to IT policies and security standards.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in operations, finance, and IT.
Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; prior SAP or ERP experience in manufacturing or FMCG is an advantage.
