Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
Support safety and security operations: Assist the Director in overseeing all safety and security functions, including ensuring OSHA compliance, promoting safe work practices, and managing department systems, budgets, and policies.
Oversee safety training: Assist in leading the coordination and administration of safety training programs, including CPR, fire and life safety, workplace violence prevention, and driver training
Ensure property safety: Assist in directing security patrols of the hotel premises to identify and address safety risks, security threats, and undesirable conditions
Support investigations: Assist in leading inquiries into accidents, thefts, property loss, and unlawful activities
Direct emergency responses: Assist in leading responses to emergencies, including fires, medical incidents, and security threats
Liaise with law enforcement: Act as a key contact for federal, state, and local authorities on security-related matters
Inspire and develop the team: Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build a motivated and high-performing team
