Summary:
As a Cloud Migration Engineer, a typical day involves evaluating current systems and infrastructure to determine the best approach for transitioning to cloud environments. This role includes planning and executing the migration of applications and data, ensuring that the solutions implemented are scalable and deliver high performance. The position requires collaboration with various teams to align migration strategies with business goals, while continuously monitoring progress and addressing any challenges that arise during the migration process. The engineer plays a key role in enabling organizations to leverage both private and public cloud technologies to achieve advanced business outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration and integration of systems.
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure post-migration to maintain performance and reliability.
Document migration processes and best practices to support knowledge sharing within the team.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
Good To Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, and security best practices.
Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting of database systems.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and migration tools related to database services.
Ability to automate routine tasks using scripting languages or automation frameworks.
Additional Information:
The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
This position is based at our HDC3B - SEZ location.
A 15 years full time education is required.
