Role Description This full-time Financial Advisor role is based in Madurai in a hybrid work model, combining on-site responsibilities with some work-from-home flexibility. The Financial Advisor will meet with prospective and existing clients to understand their financial goals and risk profiles, and recommend appropriate life insurance, investment, retirement, and protection solutions from SBI Life’s product suite. Daily tasks include conducting financial needs assessments, preparing proposals and illustrations, explaining product features and benefits in clear terms, and ensuring regulatory and company compliance in all advisory activities. The role involves maintaining ongoing client relationships, monitoring policy performance, assisting with renewals and upgrades, and coordinating with internal teams for smooth onboarding and service support. The Financial Advisor will also participate in local business development activities, such as networking events and customer outreach, to grow the client base in the Madurai region.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Financial Planning and Retirement Planning to analyze client goals and design comprehensive long-term financial strategies.
Solid understanding of Finance and Investments to explain risk, returns, and suitable product options aligned with client profiles.
Demonstrated experience in Financial Advisory, including client engagement, portfolio recommendations, and ongoing relationship management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts in simple, client-friendly language.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Madurai, manage time effectively, and meet sales and service targets responsibly.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business, economics, or a related field; relevant certifications in financial planning or insurance advisory are an advantage.
Familiarity with life insurance products and regulatory requirements; prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial services is preferred.
Comfort with digital tools, CRM systems, and online customer engagement platforms used for advisory, documentation, and reporting.
