Role Description The Transport and Logistics Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Dharmapuri district. This role oversees daily transport operations, including route planning, vehicle scheduling, and coordination of deliveries from plants to distribution points. The supervisor monitors inventory movements, ensures accurate documentation, and maintains compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising transport staff and drivers, resolving operational issues, and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of products. The supervisor also collaborates with customer service and plant operations teams to address delivery concerns, optimize logistics performance, and support continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
Strong supervisory skills with experience leading transport or logistics teams.
Effective communication and customer service skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Operations management and logistics planning skills, including route optimization and fleet coordination.
Inventory management skills to track product movement, maintain records, and support stock accuracy.
Knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards, and compliance practices.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and logistics or ERP systems.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in FMCG or dairy industry logistics operations is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Dharmapuri district and manage shifts as per operational requirements.
