Security Engineering Lead

About the Role
The Security Engineering Lead is responsible for defining architecture solutions that meet or exceed security guidelines while enabling rapid software development. This role collaborates closely with infrastructure and security operations teams to enhance security initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Design scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems with security as a core consideration.
Embrace emerging technologies and contribute to best practices supporting the bank's technology transformation.
Evaluate, extend, and contribute to open-source security tools and integrate them into development pipelines.
Continuously assess and improve security processes at scale.
Respond to information system security incidents including investigation, countermeasures, and recovery.
Administer authentication and access controls including provisioning, changes, and deprovisioning.
Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and failover issues in multi-cloud infrastructure.
Lead capacity and performance management and recommend solutions to address technology gaps.
Assist in designing governance activities to ensure compliance with enterprise infrastructure architecture.
Secondary Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate new solutions to automate, streamline, and enhance network infrastructure performance.
Collaborate with internal and external engineers in technical discussions and troubleshooting sessions.
What We Are Looking For
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Experience
Proven experience in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance
Skills and Attributes
Strong understanding of security architecture and emerging technologies.
Expertise in open-source security tools and integration.
Proficiency in incident response and access control administration.
Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
