Role Description The Live Stream Host role is a part-time, remote position focused on presenting live digital content for IPD Media Networks’ channels. The host will lead live news segments, interviews, and discussions, introducing topics, engaging viewers, and maintaining a professional on-screen presence. Daily tasks include preparing talking points, coordinating with the editorial team, reviewing news briefs, and ensuring accurate and clear communication during live broadcasts. The Live Stream Host will interact with audiences via chat, comments, and social platforms, promoting viewer engagement while upholding the organization’s journalistic ethics. The role may also involve supporting promotional segments, collaborating with production staff, and adapting to breaking news and evolving content formats.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear speaking, active listening, and audience engagement.
Candidates should possess Customer Service and Sales skills to interact effectively with viewers, partners, and sponsors in a professional manner.
Candidates should possess Training experience and Food & Beverage service skills where applicable, demonstrating comfort in presenting, instructing, or hosting in fast-paced environments.
Experience with live streaming platforms, social media, or digital broadcasting is highly beneficial.
Strong time management, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are required.
Comfort working in a news or media environment, with an understanding of ethical and unbiased communication, is preferred.
Proficiency in Tamil or other IPD languages, along with English, is an advantage.
