About Neo
AI is the most significant shift in how work gets done since the advent of the Internet — yet most organizations fail to capture its value. Neo is changing that.
Founded by Bhavin Turakhia — Co-Founder of Zeta, Radix, and Titan — Neo is building an integrated, AI-first suite of products that capture work, centralize context, and make AI a first-class participant in every workflow:
Tasket — A radically reimagined, AI-native, work management platform that centralizes context and makes AI delegation seamless for all work.
Friday — AI Assistant, co-worker and agent platform, pre-integrated into Tasket, Studio, Drive and 1000+ SaaS platforms.
Studio — AI-native suite for co-creating docs, spreadsheets and diagrams collaboratively with humans and agents.
Scribe — AI assistant for meetings that goes beyond note-taking and actually does your work while on the call.
About the role
As a Senior Mobile Engineer you will own native app experiences across iOS and Android for the Neo suite — the surfaces where people carry Tasket, Friday, and Scribe with them.
We are proponents of leveraging best-in-breed AI tools at every step of the engineering lifecycle — design, development, review, and testing. This requires a different engineering mindset: a lean team of senior, hands-on, AI-adept engineers, resulting in ultra-rapid iteration cycles and fast output. You will help drive this approach, from design through to production.
You'll own an app end to end on your primary platform — architecture, performance, and release quality — while working across the stack when a feature needs it, and mentor other engineers on the team.
Responsibilities
Build
Design, build, and ship native features for Neo's iOS and/or Android apps — from UI through to the data and platform layer underneath.
Take features from spec to production at high speed by directing agents through implementation, then reviewing for correctness, performance, and platform fit.
Architecture & systems judgment
Own the full app life cycle on your platform — architecture, release process, and ongoing support — and make the calls on memory, threading, and performance that are hard to unwind later.
Apply the right architectural pattern for the surface (MVVM, MVP, VIPER, Coordinator, RIBs) and defend the trade-offs behind it.
Agent leverage
Structure well-defined features and bug fixes so agents can implement them reliably, and stay the last line of quality on what they produce.
Use agents to explore and adopt new platform capabilities (SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, structured concurrency) faster than a fully manual workflow would allow.
Quality & ownership
Diagnose and fix memory leaks, threading bugs, and performance regressions using platform profiling tools.
Own release quality end to end — App Store / Play Store submissions, crash rates, and post-release support.
Mentoring & collaboration
Mentor other engineers on architecture, platform idioms, and debugging technique.
Partner with product and design to turn ambiguous mobile requirements into shipped, store-ready features.
Skills
AI-native engineering practice — Directs coding agents against a clear spec and validates the output against real device behaviour — not just what compiles or passes in the simulator.
Native iOS development — Strong command of Swift, UIKit, AutoLayout, Core Animation, Core Data, and Apple Push Notifications; comfortable with SwiftUI and Combine where the surface calls for it.
Native Android development — Strong command of Kotlin (or Java), the Android SDK, and Android Studio; comfortable with Jetpack Compose where the surface calls for it.
Architecture & design patterns — Fluent in Android - MVC/MVVM/MVP and, on iOS, VIPER/Coordinator/RIBs — knows which pattern fits which surface and why.
Cross-platform frameworks (good to have) — Working familiarity with Flutter or React Native/TypeScript is a plus for surfaces that don't need a fully native build.
Performance & memory management — Hands-on with platform profiling tools to find and fix memory leaks, threading bugs, and jank.
Networking & concurrency — Solid grasp of mobile networking and multithreading — GCD/operations on iOS, coroutines/threading on Android.
Experience & Qualifications
5+ years of native mobile development, with real depth on iOS, Android, or both.
Have published one or more apps to the App Store and/or Play Store, and carried them through real release and iteration cycles.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical depth.
Equal Opportunity
Neo is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds, cultures, and communities to apply and believe that a diverse workforce is key to our success
