Interior Designer

Organization Description: Jaipur Rugs is a social enterprise that connects rural craftsmanship with global markets through its luxurious handmade carpets. It is a family-run business that offers an exclusive range of hand-knotted and hand-woven rugs made using 2500 years old traditional art forms. The founder, Mr. Nand Kishore Chaudhary created a unique business model, which provides livelihood to the artisans at their doorstep. This changed the standard practice of involving middlemen to work with artisanal communities. The company currently has a network of over 40,000 artisans spread across 600 rural Indian villages in five states of India. It has an end-to-end business model, right from sourcing of wool to exporting a finished handmade rug.
Key Responsibilities
Attend walk-in customers and understand their design and furnishing requirements
Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences, space planning, and interior aesthetics
Assist customers in selecting rugs, home décor, furniture, and related products
Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and product suggestions when required
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, architects, and interior designers
Conduct follow-ups with prospective customers and convert inquiries into sales
Maintain showroom displays and ensure products are presented attractively
Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, delivery, and customer support
Stay updated on interior design trends, materials, colors, and market development
Handle customer queries and provide excellent after-sales support
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong design sensibility and creativity
.Excellent knowledge of space planning and aesthetics.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, V-Ray, 3D Max, or similar design software.
Good understanding of materials, furniture, lighting, and finishes.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to handle client interactions professionally.
Good project coordination and vendor management skills.
Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
Attention to detail and execution excellence.
