Role Description The Assistant Manager – Government and Institutions Sales will be responsible for driving sales and business development with government departments, public sector undertakings, and institutional clients in the Ahmedabad and North Gujarat Area. This full-time, on-site role includes identifying and qualifying new opportunities, managing key accounts, and supporting tender processes and bidding activities for Jaquar’s bath and lighting solutions. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with local government bodies and institutional stakeholders, tracking project pipelines, and ensuring timely coordination with internal teams such as marketing, technical, and supply chain. The Assistant Manager will prepare proposals, presentations, and MIS reports, monitor competitor activity, and contribute to achieving revenue target. The role also includes regular field visits, participation in industry events, and adherence to compliance requirements and company policies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess solid Communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management, negotiation, and cross-functional coordination.
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for opportunity assessment, bid evaluation, pricing support, and performance tracking.
Relevant experience (typically 3–7 years) in B2B/B2G sales, project sales, or institutional sales, preferably in building materials.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in the Ahmedabad and North Gujarat Area with regular field travel and a good focus on achieving sales and collection targets.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic CRM usage
