Role Description
The Sales Business Development role at Packingvala is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. (We can explore a hybrid role also)
This role is responsible for identifying and developing new customer segments, generating leads through online and offline channels, and nurturing relationships with individual and corporate clients.
The Sales Business Development professional will conduct market research to understand trends in gifting and hampers, present tailored solutions, prepare proposals, and follow up to close sales. Daily tasks include managing inquiries, maintaining a sales pipeline, coordinating with the operations team to ensure timely delivery, and tracking performance against sales targets. The role also involves representing Packingvala at local events or meetings, collecting customer feedback, and contributing ideas to improve offerings and customer experience.
Qualifications
Strong communication and Customer Service skills to engage diverse clients, handle inquiries, and maintain long-term relationships.
Solid Lead Generation and Market Research skills to identify opportunities, build a sales pipeline, and understand local and corporate gifting needs.
Good Analytical Skills to interpret sales data, evaluate campaign performance, and support decision-making for pricing and product offerings.
Basic sales and negotiation abilities, with a proven capacity to meet or exceed targets in a business development or sales role.
Familiarity with CRM tools or basic sales tracking systems, and comfortable use of phone, email, WhatsApp, and social media for outreach.
Prior experience in corporate gifting / gifting industry is a must.
Candidates should possess local market knowledge of Ahmedabad and the surrounding region; prior experience in gifting, hampers, retail, or FMCG is an advantage.
