Company Description Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research is an emerging legal education institution committed to high-quality teaching, research, and professional development in law. The institute focuses on building a strong academic environment where learners are encouraged to think critically and engage with contemporary legal issues. It aims to prepare future legal professionals with a sound understanding of legal theory and practice. Faculty members are supported in pursuing scholarly work, participating in academic forums, and contributing to the growth of the institution.
Role Description The Assistant Professor of Law will be responsible for delivering lectures, leading tutorials, and facilitating classroom discussions across core and specialized law subjects. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing course materials, evaluating student performance, and providing academic mentoring and guidance. The role involves engaging in legal research, publishing scholarly work, participating in curriculum development, and contributing to seminars, workshops, and moot court activities. The Assistant Professor will also support institutional initiatives, committee work, and outreach activities that strengthen the academic profile of the institute. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Silvassa.
Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge in Law, with expertise in areas such as Constitutional Law and Criminal Law.
Demonstrated ability in Teaching, including lecture delivery, classroom facilitation, and student mentoring.
Proficiency in Research, including legal analysis, academic writing, and publication of scholarly work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
Relevant academic qualifications, typically a master’s degree or higher in Law (LL.M or equivalent); a Ph.D. in Law or enrollment in a doctoral program is an advantage.
Familiarity with legal education methodologies, moot court activities, and experiential learning approaches.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, contribute to academic committees, and support institutional development.
Commitment to ethical practices, learner-centered teaching, and continuous professional development.
