Role Description The Mechanical Engineer will work on-site at the Sanand facility in a full-time capacity, supporting the design, optimization, and maintenance of recycling and manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include developing and reviewing mechanical designs, preparing and updating CAD models and drawings, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to implement engineering improvements. The role involves monitoring machine performance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and supporting preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient operations. The Mechanical Engineer will also participate in R&D initiatives to improve process efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality, while contributing to project planning, documentation, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core principles to industrial recycling and manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in Machine Design, including component selection, strength calculations, and design for reliability and maintainability.
Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and modifying 2D drawings and 3D models.
Exposure to Research and Development (R&D), with skills in problem analysis, process improvement, and innovation in mechanical systems.
Competence in Project Management, including planning, coordination with stakeholders, and tracking milestones in engineering projects.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices; experience in metals or recycling industry is an advantage.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, effective communication skills, and capacity to work collaboratively on-site in a fast-paced environment.
