We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and hands-on E-Commerce professional to take ownership of our business across leading online marketplaces.
This is an individual contributor role. The successful candidate will not have direct reports and should therefore be comfortable personally handling both the strategy and day-to-day execution required to grow our online marketplace business.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing platforms such as Amazon, Nykaa, Tata CLiQ and other leading e-commerce marketplaces, with a proven ability to drive sales growth while maintaining healthy advertising efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of day-to-day business operations across online marketplaces such as Amazon, Nykaa, Tata CLiQ and other relevant platforms.
- Develop and personally execute strategies to increase sales, visibility and market share.
- Manage marketplace advertising campaigns and continuously optimise performance.
- Drive profitable growth with a strong focus on achieving and maintaining a ROAS of 3 or above.
- Plan and execute promotions, deals, discounts, launches and other marketplace-led growth initiatives.
- Monitor daily sales performance and take prompt action to address opportunities or challenges.
- Manage and optimise product listings, content, images, pricing and catalogue quality.
- Analyse marketplace data, consumer trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Coordinate with marketplace account managers and internal teams to improve business performance.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, operations and supply-chain teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor inventory availability and proactively help prevent stock-outs.
- Prepare regular reports on sales, advertising performance, profitability and key growth metrics.
- Stay updated on new marketplace tools, advertising opportunities and changes in platform policies.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a hands-on executor as well as a strategic thinker. This position is not primarily a people-management role.
We are specifically looking for someone who is comfortable getting involved personally in the details—from analysing sales reports and optimising advertising campaigns to managing listings, coordinating promotions and solving day-to-day marketplace issues.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in e-commerce and online marketplace management.
- Proven hands-on experience managing one or more major online marketplaces, preferably including Amazon, Nykaa and Tata CLiQ.
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop and execute strategies for sales growth.
- Strong experience in marketplace advertising and performance optimisation.
- A proven understanding of ROAS, sales conversion, advertising efficiency and other key e-commerce metrics.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of business results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Must be a collaborative and effective team player.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- A degree or diploma in Digital Marketing will be an advantage.
