Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Data Engineer role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring reliable data flow from diverse sources into central data platforms. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing ETL processes, implementing data models, and supporting data warehousing solutions that enable analytics and reporting. The role involves collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and product teams to understand data requirements, improve data quality, and ensure efficient access to critical information. The Data Engineer will monitor data infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture and best practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing for building and managing scalable data infrastructure.
Candidates should possess practical experience in Data Modeling and Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes for designing structured datasets and reliable data pipelines.
Candidates should possess capabilities in Data Analytics for supporting insight generation, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python, Java, or Scala).
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, as well as modern data platforms or cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is beneficial.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration and data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, or similar) is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
