About Us
Vinayaka Timber Enterprises is a Visakhapatnam-based manufacturing and processing firm engaged in timber products, industrial wooden packaging and metal fabrication, catering to industrial, marine, defence and government/PSU requirements.
Role Overview
We are looking for a practical and hands-on Workshop & Production Supervisor with experience in timber/woodworking, steel fabrication, labour management and general workshop maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise timber cutting, carpentry and woodworking activities
• Oversee MS/SS fabrication, welding and related jobs
• Understand engineering drawings, measurements and specifications
• Manage carpenters, fabricators, welders and general labour
• Allocate daily work and monitor productivity and discipline
• Plan material requirements and minimize wastage
• Monitor production schedules, quality and timely completion
• Handle basic electrical troubleshooting and workshop repairs
• Coordinate maintenance of machinery, power tools and equipment
• Maintain shop-floor safety and housekeeping
Candidate Requirements
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/workshop environment
• Exposure to timber/woodworking and metal fabrication preferred
• Strong labour and manpower handling skills
• Basic knowledge of electrical repairs and machinery maintenance
• Ability to understand drawings, dimensions and shop-floor processes
• Practical, responsible and capable of independently managing day-to-day workshop activities
• ITI/Diploma qualification preferred; relevant hands-on experience will also be considered
Compensation: ₹3.6 LPA
Location: Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh
