Program Manager

Role Description The Program Manager at MAYO Comunicación will coordinate and oversee communication and content programs across multiple clients and projects in a part-time, remote capacity. This role involves planning and managing institutional communication initiatives, aligning project timelines, resources, and deliverables with client objectives. The Program Manager will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, supervise press actions, and ensure effective media relations and audience engagement. Daily responsibilities include tracking program progress, reporting on performance, mitigating risks, and maintaining consistent quality standards across all communication and content outputs. The Program Manager will also help refine processes and implement best practices to support the agency’s growth and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong program and project management skills, including planning, prioritization, coordination of multiple initiatives, and stakeholder management.
Candidates should possess communication and media relations skills, such as institutional communication, press coordination, relationship-building with media outlets, and engagement with target audiences.
Candidates should possess analytical and monitoring skills, including media monitoring, issue and risk analysis, and the ability to interpret data to inform communication strategies.
Candidates should possess content development skills, such as experience with publications, audiovisual content production, and oversight of editorial or journalistic projects.
Relevant qualifications include excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English, strong organizational abilities, and comfort working remotely and independently.
Experience in a communication agency, press office, or consultancy environment, and familiarity with crisis prevention or reputation management, are highly beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred.
