Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Head Maintenance (Forgings) role based in Faridabad. The Head Maintenance will oversee all maintenance activities for forging equipment and related utilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules, supervising maintenance and repair work, and coordinating with production teams to minimize equipment downtime. The role involves managing a maintenance team, allocating resources, and maintaining documentation for maintenance activities and compliance requirements. The Head Maintenance will also identify opportunities for process improvement, support root-cause analyses of equipment failures, and collaborate with leadership on budgeting and long-term maintenance strategies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance planning to ensure consistent equipment uptime in forging operations.
Candidates should possess hands-on expertise in Maintenance & Repair and general Maintenance of forging presses, hammers, furnaces, and auxiliary equipment.
Candidates should possess experience in Maintenance Management, including scheduling, resource allocation, inventory of spare parts, and documentation of maintenance activities.
Candidates should possess effective Team Management skills, with the ability to lead technicians, coordinate shifts, and promote a safety-focused culture.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
Prior experience in forging plants or heavy manufacturing environments, with familiarity in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in equipment reliability.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with production and quality teams.
