Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will work on-site in Coimbatore in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and development of mechanical systems and components for advanced coconut dehusking machinery and related equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and revising mechanical designs, performing calculations, collaborating with production and R&D teams, and preparing detailed engineering drawings and documentation using CAD tools. The role involves improving existing products for performance, safety, and cost-efficiency, supporting prototyping and testing activities, and resolving design-related issues during manufacturing. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional colleagues to ensure that designs meet functional requirements, quality standards, and regulatory and customer specifications.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design focused on mechanical systems.
Candidates should possess practical knowledge in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design for industrial machinery.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience in machinery or industrial equipment design, preferably in agri-processing or manufacturing environments.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and standards, and apply engineering calculations and analysis.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in an on-site team setting.
Familiarity with prototype testing, tolerance analysis, and basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
