Role Description The Project Geologist will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising geotechnical and geological investigations for infrastructure projects. Daily tasks include coordinating fieldwork teams, overseeing drilling and sampling operations, logging boreholes, and performing geological mapping and geophysical data collection. The role involves interpreting subsurface and laboratory data, preparing factual and interpretative reports, and supporting design teams with clear, data-driven recommendations. The Project Geologist will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure QHSE standards, timely delivery, and technical accuracy. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to perform and supervise Field Work, including site investigations and coordination of on-site activities.
Strong skills in Logging of boreholes and test pits, with accurate documentation of soil and rock characteristics.
Hands-on experience with Drilling operations for geotechnical investigations, including sampling techniques and equipment familiarity.
Master’s degree in Geology, Applied Geology, Geoengineering, or a related discipline.
Understanding of geotechnical laboratory testing and standards; experience with NABL or ISO environments is beneficial.
Strong communication skills, with attention to detail and data quality.
Ability to work on construction and infrastructure sites, adhere to QHSE protocols, and travel to project locations as required.
