Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Security Officer role based at Shakunt Ashram Wellness Hub in Surat. The Security Officer is responsible for monitoring entrances and exits, patrolling the premises, and ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and property. Daily tasks include checking identification or visitor logs, supervising CCTV or other surveillance systems, responding to alarms or incidents, and reporting any suspicious activity or safety hazards. The role requires enforcing security and access policies in a calm, respectful manner aligned with the ashram’s wellness-focused environment. The Security Officer will also coordinate with management and local authorities when needed, maintain accurate incident records, and assist with emergency procedures and safety drills.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong observation and situational awareness skills, including the ability to identify potential risks and respond quickly and appropriately.
Candidates should possess experience with basic security procedures, such as patrolling, access control, visitor management, and use of surveillance systems (CCTV or similar).
Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests, staff, and external partners, while maintaining a calm and respectful presence.
Candidates should possess skills in basic incident reporting, record-keeping, and following established safety and emergency protocols.
Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or facility safety is preferred; relevant training or certification in security or safety is an advantage.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, work flexible hours or shifts, and remain composed in high-pressure or emergency situations.
Commitment to confidentiality, ethical conduct, and alignment with a wellness-focused, peaceful environment.
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; local language proficiency and basic English communication skills are beneficial.
