We are seeking an experienced Senior Pega Developer with strong expertise in the Pega Platform, enterprise-grade background processing, integration technologies including Kafka, database handling with SQL, and API testing using Postman. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize scalable workflow and case management solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement applications using the Pega Platform.
Build and maintain scalable case management workflows and business process automation solutions.
Develop and optimize background processing components such as queue processors, job schedulers, agents, and asynchronous integrations.
Integrate Pega applications with external systems using REST APIs, messaging systems, and Kafka.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database interactions.
Use Postman for API testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
Perform application debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
Participate in code reviews, deployment planning, and production support activities.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical design discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in Pega development.
Strong expertise in:
Pega Platform (Case Management, Decisioning, Integrations)
Background processing concepts in Pega
Queue Processors / Job Schedulers / Agents
Kafka integration and event-driven architecture
SQL and relational databases
REST/SOAP APIs
Postman for API testing
Experience with Pega integrations using REST, SOAP, JMS, or Kafka.
Strong understanding of application performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Pega certifications such as:
CSA (Certified System Architect)
CSSA (Certified Senior System Architect)
LSA (Lead System Architect) – preferred
Experience with cloud deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of DevOps tools and version control systems such as Git.
Exposure to microservices architecture is a plus.
