Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Physics and Biology Postgraduate Teachers at Kalaimagal Higher Secondary School Vallam, located in Thanjavur. The teachers will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the higher secondary curriculum, covering core concepts in Physics and Biology. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom teaching, organizing and supervising laboratory sessions, assessing student performance, and providing academic support. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, participating in school meetings and academic initiatives, guiding students for exams, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Collaboration with colleagues to improve teaching practices and contribute to co-curricular activities is expected.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong subject knowledge in Biology and Microbiology.
Candidates should possess solid Laboratory Skills and practical competencies relevant to Physics and Biology experiments.
Candidates should possess effective Communication and Research skills for teaching, mentoring, and academic support.
Postgraduate degree (M.Sc.) in Physics or Biology, or a closely related field, from a recognized university.
B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training qualification preferred.
Prior experience teaching higher secondary students is an advantage.
Ability to design clear lesson plans, evaluate student progress, and adapt teaching for diverse learning needs.
