Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build core backend systems, distributed services, and AI-powered workflows.
Responsibilities:
Build backend services in Java and Python.
Develop microservices, APIs, and asynchronous workflows.
Build systems that integrate with AI agents and automation workflows.
Design scalable, secure, and observable backend platforms.
Work closely with product, domain experts, and customers.
Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture decisions.
Requirements:
Strong experience with Java and Python.
Hands-on experience across a mix of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data JPA, and/or FastAPI services.
Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
Hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, and API-first design.
Good to have Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in Security: JWT, OAuth2
Testing across Java and Python services using JUnit 5 Mockito, Pytest, integration testing, and TestContainers.
Observability using Prometheus, Grafana, logging, and distributed tracing.
Preferred:
Graph DB, Elasticsearch, and polyglot persistence.
Domain-Driven Design.
Workflow engines, orchestration systems, or saga patterns.
Experience building or integrating AI agents / LLM workflows.
GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Insurance domain knowledge (policies, claims, underwriting).
