Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
Build REST APIs for marketplace, payment, and partner integrations.
Design systems for high transaction volumes with reliability and performance.
Own features end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring.
Collaborate with product, founders, and frontend teams to launch new features.
Improve platform performance, security, scalability, and observability.
Build solutions for payments, digital commerce, catalogue management, and transaction workflows.
Requirements:

2+ years of backend development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript.
Good knowledge of TypeScript.
Experience with Express.js or NestJS.
Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems.
Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
Good understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimisation.
Experience working in product startups or high-growth environments.
Good to Have:
Experience with fintech, payments, wallets, or marketplace platforms.
Payment gateway and third-party API integrations.
Experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Monitoring and observability tools.
