Associate Data Scientist

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our data science team. In this role, you will assist in developing and implementing advanced data models, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions and insights.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis: Perform data analysis and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and trends that inform business decisions.
Model Development: Assist in developing, testing, and validating machine learning models and algorithms.
Data Preparation: Collaborate with the data engineering team to gather, preprocess, and clean data for analysis.
Feature Engineering: Create and select relevant features for model development and optimisation.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of deployed models, identify areas for improvement, and retrain models as needed.
Visualisation: Create data visualisations and dashboards to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.
Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies.
Documentation: Document data science processes, methodologies, and results for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, product management, and business teams to integrate data science solutions into products and services.
Problem-solving: Apply advanced analytical techniques to solve complex business problems and support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience (1 - 5 years) in data science, machine learning, or a related role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e. g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e. g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with SQL and database management.
Experience in the technology industry, particularly in SaaS or AI-driven products.
Knowledge of Generative AI, natural language processing (NLP) and text mining techniques.
Familiarity with big data technologies (e. g., Hadoop, Spark).
Understanding of cloud platforms (e. g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
