FP&A Analyst

We are looking for an FP& A Analyst to own financial and business reporting across our brands, working out of our Mumbai office. This is a finance-focused role, not an accounting role. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with data end-to-end: pulling numbers, building models, and turning them into a narrative that leadership can act on. You will work closely with founders and brand leads, so the role carries real visibility from day one.
Responsibilities:
Own MIS reporting end-to-end: design, build, and continuously refine dashboards and reports used by management and brand teams to track performance.
Maintain P& Ls across brands, closing the books each cycle and flagging variances against budget and forecast before they become surprises.
Build segmentation frameworks to break down revenue, margin, and customer performance by channel, brand, geography, and other relevant cuts.
Run cohort analysis on customer behavior (repeat rate, LTV, retention curves) to inform product and marketing decisions.
Partner directly with business and leadership teams, translating raw financial data into clear recommendations, not just numbers.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycle, working with functional heads to build bottom-up plans and track progress against them.
Build and maintain financial models to evaluate new brand launches, pricing changes, and other business decisions.
Identify process gaps in financial reporting and drive automation or tooling improvements to reduce manual work.
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in FP& A, business finance, or business reporting roles, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
MBA or CA background, with a clear inclination toward finance work over accounting.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modeling, index-match/lookups) and comfort working with large, messy datasets.
Working knowledge of SQL or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) is a strong plus.
Ability to independently manage reporting cycles, deadlines, and multiple stakeholders without heavy oversight.
Sharp analytical thinking with strong attention to detail and a bias toward clean, defensible numbers.
Comfortable working in-office in Mumbai and operating at startup pace across multiple brands at once.
