Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:
Build and maintain scalable REST and GraphQL APIs.
Design reliable, high-performance backend systems.
Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
Develop event-driven and batch data pipelines.
Optimise system performance, latency, and reliability.
Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams.
Requirements:
3+ years of backend engineering experience.
Strong skills in Node.js and/or Python.
Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ/Kafka.
Good understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and debugging.
Product company or consumer internet-scale experience preferred.
Good to Have:
Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps.
WebSockets or Server-Sent Events (SSE).
Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
