Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance REST and GraphQL APIs.
Architect resilient, fault-tolerant backend systems and distributed services.
Drive backend scalability, performance, reliability, and system design decisions.
Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB to optimize data systems.
Build event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ/Kafka and data pipelines.
Collaborate with Product, Frontend, Data, and Infrastructure teams.
Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices across teams.
Requirements:
8+ years of backend engineering experience in high-scale product environments.
Strong expertise in Node.js and/or Python.
Deep experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
Strong ownership, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Proven experience leading technical initiatives and architectural decisions.
Good to Have:
Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience.
Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience with WebSockets/SSE and monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
