We are seeking a DevOps and Network Security Engineer to enhance our infrastructure and ensure the security and reliability of our systems. This role combines DevOps automation and infrastructure expertise with network security skills to deliver robust, secure, and optimized solutions. You will design, deploy, and maintain high-availability systems while protecting our networks against emerging threats.
Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, resilient infrastructure using cloud platforms and DevOps tools.
Automation and CI/CD: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and reduce manual processes.
System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring systems (e. g., Prometheus, Grafana) to detect and resolve performance issues proactively.
Network Security Management: Enforce network security policies, including firewall configurations, access controls, and VPN setups.
Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Incident Response: Respond to and mitigate security incidents while maintaining an incident response plan.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 GDPR, and other standards while maintaining detailed documentation.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA teams, and IT staff to align security practices with development goals.
Training and Mentorship: Conduct training sessions and mentor junior engineers on DevOps and network security best practices.
Requirements:
DevOps Tools and Automation: Expertise in CI/CD tools (e. g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Cloud Platforms: Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including security best practices.
Network Security: Proficiency in firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN management, and SIEM systems.
Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and service meshes.
Monitoring and Logging: Knowledge of tools like Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Database Security: Secure management of databases (e. g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) with encryption and access control.
Configuration Management: Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Mandatory Skills: Proficiency in DevOps tools, Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Network Security, Blockchain/Web3.js, Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD Pipelines, Monitoring Tools (Prometheus/Grafana), Database Security, and Configuration Management.
Preferred Skills:
Threat Intelligence and Forensics: Experience with advanced incident response and forensic analysis.
Compliance Standards: Understanding of frameworks like ISO 27001 GDPR, or SOC2
Load Balancing: Expertise in tools like NGINX, and HAProxy for optimized network performance.
Automated Security Testing: Knowledge of tools like Nessus or OWASP ZAP.
Container Security: Best practices for image scanning and Kubernetes runtime security.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CISSP, CompTIA Security+.
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
Experience Requirements:
Professional Experience: Minimum of 3+ Years in DevOps and Network Security.
Project Experience: Proven ability to manage large-scale cloud infrastructures and implement security best practices.
Team Collaboration: Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
