We're looking for a Senior Python Developer with a strong product mindset and a passion for building scalable, secure, and performance-critical systems. You'll be part of our core engineering team working on Vaultize's flagship platform, enhancing services such as DRM enforcement, audit logging, file tracking, and sync engines. This is a hands-on, backend-intensive role ideal for engineers who thrive in a product-driven and security-focused environment, handling terabytes of data across thousands of endpoints.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance server-side services for DRM policy enforcement, Secure file sync, Data leak protection, and Endpoint telemetry.
Build RESTful APIs and backend services with Python that integrate with file systems and infrastructure components.
Work on advanced features like delta sync, audit trails, file versioning, and secure rendering.
Implement encryption workflows and token-based access control.
Collaborate with DevOps for scaling and performance across hybrid (on-prem/cloud) deployments.
Resolve production incidents, debug performance bottlenecks, and optimize backend services.
Integrate with external systems such as LDAP, AD, DLP, CASB, and SIEM tools.
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentor junior developers.
Requirements:
6 to 8 years of experience in Python 3 x backend development.
Strong in: Multithreading, File I/O, Inter-process communication (IPC), Low-level system APIs.
Proven experience in REST API design, Celery/task queues, Microservices architecture.
Familiarity with: Encryption (OpenSSL, cryptography.io ); Secure coding practices; and Database expertise in PostgreSQL, Redis, SQLite, or equivalent.
Proficient in: Linux system internals, Journaling/logging systems, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong track record of writing modular, testable, production-grade code.
Bonus / Preferred Skills:
Background in EFSS, DRM, DLP, or enterprise content security platforms.
Experience with: File diffing algorithms (e. g., rsync), Document watermarking, Desktop sync or agent-based software (Windows/Linux)
Awareness of compliance frameworks: GDPR, DPDP Act, RBI-CSF.
