Frontend Engineer

We are looking for a strong Frontend Engineer II to help build high-quality, production-grade user experiences for complex AI and research workflows. You will work closely with product, design, backend engineering, and business teams to translate ambiguous requirements into polished, reliable, and scalable interfaces. This role is ideal for someone strong in React, TypeScript, frontend architecture, UI state management, and product thinking. Full-stack experience is a strong bonus, especially if you can contribute across APIs, workflows, or backend integrations when needed.
Responsibilities:
Design and build product features in a modern React + TypeScript application.
Own frontend development from requirements and technical design through production deployment.
Create intuitive interfaces for complex workflows involving research, AI-generated outputs, data-heavy screens, and operational processes.
Collaborate closely with product, design, backend engineers, and business stakeholders to convert requirements into polished user experiences.
Integrate frontend applications with APIs, asynchronous workflows, background jobs, and real-time data streams.
Build and manage complex UI state across multi-step, asynchronous, and data-intensive workflows.
Contribute to and improve our shared component library, design system, and frontend development patterns.
Improve application performance, maintainability, reliability, and developer experience.
Participate in technical design discussions and help shape frontend architecture decisions.
Debug production issues, identify root causes, and ship pragmatic fixes quickly.
Use AI-assisted development tools effectively to accelerate delivery while maintaining high engineering standards.
Requirements:
3-5 years of professional frontend engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
Experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications.
Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, component design patterns, and client-side state management.
Experience designing and managing complex UI state across asynchronous and data-intensive workflows.
Experience with client-side data fetching and caching libraries such as TanStack Query / React Query or similar.
Strong CSS, responsive design, and UI implementation skills.
Ability to independently drive features from concept to production.
Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and product judgment.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with evolving product requirements.
Nice to Have:
Full-stack experience with backend APIs, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
Experience with Vite or similar modern frontend tooling.
Familiarity with state management libraries such as Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or equivalent solutions.
Experience building AI-powered products or interfaces for LLM workflows.
Knowledge of streaming, real-time, or event-driven user experiences.
Experience with component systems such as Radix UI or other accessible component frameworks.
Experience working in startup or high-growth environments.
Experience improving frontend observability, performance monitoring, or testing coverage.
