Kafka Admin

We're looking for a DevOps-heavy Kafka engineer with strong hands-on experience in Confluent Cloud, infrastructure automation, and operating distributed systems on AWS at scale.
Requirements:
Must-Have Technical Requirements and Streaming.
Hands-on experience with Confluent Cloud (mandatory).
Topics, connectors, schemas, ACLs, quotas, cluster configs.
Experience automating Kafka infrastructure using Terraform.
Provisioning Confluent resources via IaC.
Strong understanding of Kafka internals.
Partitions, replication, consumer groups, offset management.
Managing Kafka configurations and operational tasks using Ansible.
Experience designing Kafka for high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
DevOps / Cloud Engineering:
Strong AWS experience, including: EC2 ALB, EBS volumes, Security Groups, VPC networking (subnets, routing, connectivity challenges).
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (advanced usage expected), Ansible for configuration management.
Observability and Monitoring: Datadog (metrics, alerts, dashboards), Splunk (logs, troubleshooting).
Experience operating and troubleshooting distributed systems in production.
Solid understanding of system design principles for cloud-native architectures.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Kafka security (TLS, SASL, RBAC).
Experience supporting high-throughput, low-latency data platforms.
Exposure to incident response and on-call production support.
