Lead Snowflake Architect

As a Lead Snowflake Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimising enterprise-grade data warehousing solutions built on Snowflake DB. This pivotal role involves collaborating closely with clients to understand their complex data challenges, translating business requirements into innovative technical architectures, and leading high-performing data engineering teams. Your expertise will directly influence the strategic direction of client data initiatives, ensuring the delivery of scalable, efficient, and secure data platforms that empower data-driven decision-making and fuel business growth. This role demands a seasoned professional with at least 15-20 years of experience in Data Architecture and cloud data platforms.
Responsibilities:
Architect and design end-to-end Snowflake DB data warehousing solutions, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and best practices for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams, guiding them through complex implementations, Data Modeling, and optimisation strategies within the Snowflake ecosystem.
Engage proactively in presales activities, including solution conceptualisation, effort estimation, technical proposal development, and presenting architectural blueprints to prospective clients.
Define and implement advanced data modelling techniques (e. g., dimensional, data vault) tailored for Snowflake, ensuring optimal data organisation and query performance.
Integrate Snowflake with diverse data sources and cloud services, leveraging expertise inAzure Databricks, AWS data services (S3 Glue, Redshift), and other relevant technologies to build robust data pipelines.
Establish and enforce data governance, security, and compliance frameworks within Snowflake environments, safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring regulatory adherence.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, evaluating new Snowflake features and cloud data technologies to enhance existing solutions and propose innovative approaches.
Requirements:
Demonstrated mastery in Snowflake DB architecture, design, and implementation, including advanced features like Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and external functions.
Profound understanding and practical application of various Data Modelling methodologies for large-scale analytical systems.
Proven ability to lead complex Data Architecture engagements from conceptualisation through to successful deployment and optimisation.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating intricate technical solutions to both technical and executive audiences during client and presales interactions.
Strong leadership qualities with a track record of mentoring senior data professionals and fostering high-performance technical teams.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field from a reputable institution.
Must Have: Snowpro Advanced Certification.
