QA Engineer

Responsibilities:
Design, write, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and regression suites for web and API-based applications.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across multiple product modules.
Build, maintain, and enhance automated test suites using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation frameworks.
Develop and improve AI-based test automation processes to increase testing efficiency, coverage, and reliability.
Test payment workflows, reconciliation processes, financial calculations, and transaction-related systems with high accuracy.
Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, and related testing frameworks.
Validate backend data and perform data integrity checks through SQL queries and database validation techniques.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, test planning, and release validation activities.
Monitor product quality metrics and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing frameworks, and quality standards.
Track, report, prioritise, and ensure timely closure of defects using defect management and tracking tools.
Requirements:
2-4 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance (QA) and Software Testing for SaaS, fintech, or enterprise products.
Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies across web and API-based applications.
Experience working with AI-based testing frameworks or intelligent test automation solutions is preferred.
Exposure to testing financial systems, payment workflows, reconciliation processes, or financial calculations is highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong understanding of the Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC), QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management processes.
Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks.
Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar technologies.
Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL for backend data validation, verification, and troubleshooting.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments and participating in sprint-based delivery processes.
Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
