QA Engineer

We're looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software through a combination of manual and automated testing. Responsibilities:
Design and execute comprehensive manual test plans and test cases for web applications and backend services.
Build, maintain, and enhance automation test suites for UI and API testing.
Validate frontend functionality, user workflows, and backend business logic.
Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
Test REST APIs, databases, and system integrations to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects through resolution.
Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Contribute to improving QA processes, automation coverage, and release quality.
Requirements:
2-5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
Hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.
Experience testing web applications, APIs, and backend services.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman.
Good understanding of SQL for database validation.
Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript for automation is preferred.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Foundations:
Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
Basic understanding of microservices architecture and REST APIs.
Experience with test management and bug tracking tools such as Jira is a plus.
