We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with 7+ years of experience in similar financial or commodity trading environments. The successful candidate will design, architect, and develop robust, well-tested solutions within the settlement domain to support new business activities.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the development team on various components of the settlement workflow.
Work closely with settlement operators and other business stakeholders to refine requirements and conduct analysis.
Actively participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, estimation sessions, retrospectives, and design reviews.
Implement development best practices and maintain clear, up-to-date technical documentation.
Provide support and maintenance for the settlement application.
Requirements:
Bachelors/ Masters in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 7 years of professional experience.
Strong professional experience in Java development.
Proficiency in frameworks such as Dropwizard or Spring (or similar).
Solid understanding of relational databases and ability to work with SQL Server, including writing and analysing SQL queries.
Exposure to modern web UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or AngularJS (experience in full-stack development is a plus).
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Prior experience or good understanding of the commodities trading industry.
A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning and experimenting with new technologies.
