Senior Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack cloud applications on AWS, leveraging AI-powered capabilities to address business needs and enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure solutions meet key non-functional requirements, including reliability, scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and cost optimization.
Collaborate in production support activities, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents as part of an on-call rotation to maintain high service availability.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
4-7 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting distributed cloud applications on AWS.
Strong proficiency in Java development, including JVM performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization in high-throughput production environments.
Hands-on experience building applications using Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
Solid front-end development expertise with Angular, Bootstrap, HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Experience working with both relational and NoSQL database technologies.
Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2 Lambda, S3 SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS, AppSync, CloudFormation, and CodePipeline.
Understanding of cloud security principles, secure coding practices, and networking concepts in distributed cloud environments.
Experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift, ROSA, or other Kubernetes-based platforms.
Proficiency with source control and DevOps practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline, and Argo CD.
Experience working within Agile development methodologies and cross-functional product teams.
Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging technologies such as Kafka and ActiveMQ.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across technical and business teams.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a strong customer-focused mindset.

Demonstrated experience using AWS AI/ML services such as Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock, and AgentCore.
Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (e. g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Kiro) to accomplish tasks such as generating and reviewing code, writing and maintaining tests, creating documentation, and debugging, while exercising sound judgment to validate and take ownership of AI-generated output.
Understanding of prompt engineering, AI workflows, and/or model integration patterns.
