About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
We're looking to hire a creative collaborator who uses their storytelling, editing, and motion graphics skills to turn raw footage into testimonial videos, paid and social videos, product demos, event recaps, and sales assets. You'll be executing someone else's ideas at times, and once you know the brand, bringing your own to create powerful visuals that align with our strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
Customer testimonial films: The centerpiece of this role. Two-camera interviews cut for pacing and emotion, supported by b-roll and graphics, finished to a standard that holds up next to any brand our customers already know.
Footage will be cut into longer YouTube-type videos, which will be cut down to varying lengths and formats for the different social media platforms.
Motion graphics and on-screen storytelling: Brand-specific graphics built from scratch, not dropped-in templates. Kinetic type, animated stats and results, product UI brought to life, lower thirds and transitions that feel like they belong to us.
Performance creative: Short-form cutdowns for Meta, LinkedIn, Google, and YouTube. Vertical and square variants, hooks that land in the first three seconds, built as testable versions and iterated against what the data says.
Product and demo video: Screen capture and UI walkthroughs of Dextr OS, edited so a non-technical operator immediately understands what they're looking at.
Event and sales video: Conference sizzles and recaps for hospitality industry events, plus video that lives inside decks and sales conversations. Sound dialogue cleanup, mixing, and music selection. Interview audio is often imperfect, and it's your job to make it sound intentional.
The video system: Project organization, templates and presets, captions, delivery specs across platforms, and a media library where footage can actually be found again.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional editing and motion work, with finished pieces that were published by real brands.
Genuine testimonial and interview craft. You cut between two angles for rhythm and meaning rather than variety; you hide cuts cleanly with b-roll, and you can build a coherent three-minute story out of a rambling forty-minute conversation.
You work like a storyteller: you find the arc before you worry about the polish, and you know what a piece should make someone feel or do before you open the timeline.
You're confident working with multiple video assets to weave together a strong, on-brand story that resonates with our ICP.
Motion design you built yourself. Animated graphics designed for a brand, with real typographic and timing sensibility, not stock templates with our logo on them.
Expert command of Premiere Pro and After Effects (or equivalents such as DaVinci Resolve), plus color grading, audio mixing, captions, and multi-format delivery.
Real confidence with AI video and sound tools and the judgment to know their limits. Disciplined media management.
Organized projects, proxies, versioned exports, and archives someone else could pick up.
You read a brief closely and address every note, or tell us what you dropped and why. When we send reference videos, you match the feeling, not just the format.
You take direction without ego, push back with reasoning, and stay comfortable when performance data kills your favorite cut. You can move quickly without letting quality slide, and you keep a rough cut so we can course-correct early instead of at the finish line.
Excellent written and spoken English, some overlap with US hours to touch base and move projects forward, and a stable setup for video calls.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience shooting or directing interviews, so you can tell us what coverage to capture; sound design; 3D or Cinema 4D; B2B SaaS or hospitality experience; experience working inside brand guidelines.
