About Oladar Mahal
Oladar Mahal is a luxury heritage hotel in Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan, currently undergoing a significant transformation and expansion ahead of its relaunch.
Previously operated as Shahpura Kumbhal Villas, the property is being repositioned as an independent, premium heritage hospitality destination, with a strong focus on personalised service, experiential stays and high-value leisure travel.
The property is expanding from 22 to 38 rooms, alongside substantial upgrades to its guest experience and facilities.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on General Manager to take ownership of the property’s pre-opening completion, relaunch and subsequent growth.
This is not a conventional hotel management role. The successful candidate will work closely with ownership to build the team, establish operating standards, shape the property’s positioning and develop the commercial strategy.
It is an opportunity to build and scale a distinctive luxury hospitality asset from the ground up.

* Located within Kumbhalgarh’s emerging premium hospitality cluster, with leading hotel brands in close proximity
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Opening & Relaunch
* Lead final stages of refurbishment, room readiness and statutory compliance
* Recruit, train and build the hotel’s core team
* Establish SOPs, service standards and operating systems
* Work closely with ownership on positioning, pricing and go-to-market strategy
Hotel Operations
* Lead all aspects of day-to-day hotel operations
* Ensure consistently high service standards across Rooms, F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering and Front Office
* Drive guest satisfaction, online reputation and repeat business
Revenue & Commercial Strategy
* Develop and execute revenue strategies across OTAs, direct business, travel trade and luxury operators
* Build relationships with travel designers, DMCs and premium tour operators
* Maximise revenue from the rooftop and events/conference facilities
Financial Management
* Own budgets, departmental performance and cost controls
* Improve GOP and overall operational efficiency
Brand Development
* Establish Oladar Mahal as a distinctive luxury heritage destination
* Develop brand-ready systems and service standards
* Prepare the property for a potential future association with a boutique/luxury hotel brand
Who We Are Looking For
* 8–15+ years of hospitality experience
* At least 2–3 years in a GM / EAM / Hotel Manager role
* Experience in luxury, boutique, heritage or experiential hotels
* Proven experience in pre-opening, reopening or turnaround projects
* Strong commercial and revenue orientation, in addition to operational expertise
* Experience with Rajasthan or leisure destinations is an advantage
* Entrepreneurial, hands-on leadership style
* Comfortable working directly with ownership and taking decisions independently
