About Orikai
Orikai is a kidswear brand built around the idea of clothing that becomes part of childhood memories. Inspired by timeless design, heirloom dressing and the charm of generations past, we create thoughtfully made clothing for children aged 2–12. Our visual world is elegant, nostalgic and modern.
We’re looking for a Videographer & Video Editor to bring this to life.
The Role
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can conceptualise, shoot and edit content from start to finish. You’ll work closely with the founders for Instagram, Reels, Stories, ads, the website and other brand touchpoints.
Responsibilities:
Shoot high-quality video and photo content for Instagram, Reels, Stories, ads and website.
Plan and execute product shoots, campaign shoots, lifestyle shoots and behind-the-scenes content.
Create content around new launches, collections, festivals, campaigns and everyday brand moments.
Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, paid ads and other digital platforms.
Create engaging hooks, transitions, text overlays, sound design and pacing appropriate to each platform.
Repurpose longer-form footage into multiple pieces of short-form content.
Colour grade and edit footage to maintain Orikai's visual identity.
Keep up with current content formats and trends without compromising the brand's aesthetic.
Think beyond traditional product videos and find interesting ways to tell the Orikai story.
Develop recurring content formats and series that can become recognisable to the brand.
Work closely with the founders to understand the creative direction and translate it into content.
Create ad creatives specifically designed for Meta and other paid channels.
Understand the difference between content made for branding and content made to drive sales.
Test different hooks, formats, angles and storytelling styles.
Analyse content performance and use learnings to improve future creatives.
What We’re Looking For
Strong understanding of Instagram Reels and short-form video.
Good eye for composition, lighting, framing, movement and aesthetics.
Strong editing skills using tools such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects or similar.
Comfortable shooting independently using a camera and/or mobile setup.
Ability to work with natural light as well as basic lighting equipment.
Strong understanding of pacing, music, sound and storytelling.
Someone who is highly visual and naturally notices details.
Someone who can work independently — from coming up with an idea to delivering the final edit.
Willingness to experiment, test and learn.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple pieces of content simultaneously.
Location : Mumbai, Full Time (Monday - Saturday)
