Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Web Content Writer. The Web Content Writer will create, update, and optimize content for the academy’s website, including service pages, program descriptions, blog articles, FAQs, and landing pages. The role involves conducting research on martial arts, training methods, and audience needs, and translating findings into clear, engaging, and informative web copy aligned with brand voice and marketing goals. The Web Content Writer will collaborate with marketing and operations teams to support campaigns, improve user experience, and ensure content accuracy, accessibility, and consistency. Day-to-day tasks include planning content, drafting and revising copy, integrating SEO best practices, and coordinating with stakeholders for feedback and approvals.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Web Content Writing and Writing skills to produce clear, engaging, and audience-focused copy.
Candidates should possess Content Strategy and Content Management skills to plan, structure, and maintain website content effectively.
Candidates should possess solid Research skills to understand martial arts concepts, target audience behavior, and competitive landscape.
Experience with basic SEO principles, keyword integration, and web analytics tools is beneficial.
Strong command of written English, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt tone and style to brand guidelines.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage deadlines, and handle multiple content projects concurrently.
Prior experience writing for sports, fitness, education, or martial arts brands is an advantage.
Relevant education in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
