Role Description The Blogger role is a remote, contract position responsible for creating engaging written content that reflects Karate Kick Martial Arts’ values, programs, and student experiences. Day-to-day tasks include researching martial arts topics, writing blog posts and articles for the academy’s website, and optimizing content for readability and audience engagement. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop content ideas that support marketing campaigns, events, and student recruitment. The Blogger will also update existing content, ensure alignment with brand voice and messaging, and suggest new formats or topics to grow audience reach and interaction.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Writing and Web Content Writing skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling, and audience-appropriate blog posts.
Candidates should possess solid Research skills to gather accurate information on martial arts, fitness, education, and related topics.
Candidates should possess Blogger experience, including managing or contributing to blogs and understanding blogging platforms and best practices.
Candidates should possess Marketing knowledge to align content with brand goals, audience needs, and basic digital marketing principles.
Excellent command of written English and attention to detail, including grammar, style, and structure.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly in a remote, collaborative environment.
Familiarity or interest in martial arts, sports, or youth development programs is highly beneficial.
Previous experience in content creation, journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred, but candidates with strong portfolios are encouraged to apply.
