Social Media Manager

Folk Bazar is a Kalimpong-based online store for Himalayan and Nepali culture: ethnic wear like Bhaku, Khenja, Kira and Dhaka sarees, traditional jewellery, and pooja and home pieces. We ship across India, and our community lives on Instagram and Facebook.
We're looking for someone to run our social presence end to end.
What you'll own
- A monthly content calendar for Instagram, Facebook and our broadcast channel: posts, stories and reels, edited from footage we send you.
- Content around the Himalayan festival year: Losar, Dashain, Tihar, Indra Jatra and more.
- Our creator programme: coordinate product sends and collect the content that comes back.
- Profile upkeep, comments and DMs.
- A short weekly note on what's working, and a heads-up to our ads team when a post takes off.
You
- A year or more running social for a brand or creator page.
- Comfortable editing reels on your phone and designing in Canva.
- Write well in English. Nepali or Hindi is a big plus.
- Know, or want to learn, the culture of Darjeeling, Sikkim, Nepal and the Northeast.
- Organised enough to run a calendar without reminders.
We offer flexible hours, direct access to the founder, and a product allowance for content (Canva, Google Flow, Higgsfield, Claude).
